More Information
Vitamin K2-7 (menaquinone) and Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) work synergistically to support bone health.* Vitamin D3 helps maintain healthy serum calcium levels by enhancing intestinal absorption and reducing urinary excretion of calcium. Vitamin K2-7 supports bone mineralization by acting as a cofactor in the carboxylation of osteocalcin, facilitating calcium binding to this protein in the bone matrix.*
Additionally, Vitamin K2-7 promotes cardiovascular health by concentrating in arterial tissues and aiding in the carboxylation of Matrix Gla Protein, supporting normal calcium metabolism and vascular elasticity.* It may also support healthy lipid levels and glucose metabolism. Research indicates that the Western diet may not provide sufficient Vitamin K2-7 to optimize the carboxylation of Gla proteins outside the liver, and higher dietary intakes of K2 are associated with healthy arterial calcification and elasticity.*
Vitamin K2-7 has a longer half-life compared to other forms of Vitamin K, resulting in more stable levels in the body.* For optimal absorption of these fat-soluble vitamins, take with a mixed meal or dietary fat.*
How to Use
