This traditional fat from the Heritage-bred emu bird has a synergistic combination of unadulterated, natural nutrients — especially vitamin K2 (MK-4).
We gently craft our oil (more below) to retain all of its rich nutrients and cofactors, including omega fatty acids 3,6,7 and 9. To support collagen production, skin and bone health, and more.*
Each serving contains 1,500 mg of 100% pure Smidge® Emu Oil, including 6.4 mcg of vitamin K2 (MK-4). The best part, it doesn’t require conversion like other forms of vitamin K (like MK-7, the plant form), so your body can readily use and absorb it.*

The emu is a grandiose, flightless bird native to Australia that has survived between 60 and 100 million years! We render the Emu Oil from the bird’s fat, which stores nutrition and energy for when it’s needed most: during drought, famine and reproduction phases.
The oil is rendered promptly at a gentle, low temperature to retain all of its nutritional properties (other brands may remove the fat and freeze it for rendering at a later point).
This efficient and advanced method preserves the integrity and yields the highest quality Emu Oil.

Smidge® Emu Oil provides the most bioavailable and absorbable form of vitamin K, which is MK-4, the last stop after your body converts real food vitamin K2.
This is because your biochemistry converts all forms of vitamin K — including vitamins K1 and K2 (MK-7) — to MK-4. And the other forms of vitamin K have a low conversion rate, depending on the health of your gut microbiome and gut flora. For instance, only 20% of vitamin K1 is absorbed, and its conversion rate ranges from 5% to 25%.*
